Tackle Shop Feedback

As per my wanted post in the Buy/Sell Section on the site amongst other things I needed a Preston pole support and a Preston Pro V Pole Roller. Id had no offers from a few ads Id posted on different sites so decided to buy new, So I called St. Helens Angling and asked if they had stock of the Pole roller and Support and they did so I thought Great. I then asked whats your best price on the both and Il come pick them up now I was advised there priced £34.99 and £44.99 which are the R.R.P.'s and was informed the Preston stuff could'nt be reduced which I thought was a little disappointing because even if he had said we'll do them both for £75 I would of shot straight up there and spent the extra £5 on bait or tackle but sadly this was not to be the case.

So I called Leigh Tackle and Bait on Chain Lane I spoke to a nice fella called Dean and asked if they had them in stock he advised he had the pole support but the Pole roller he didnt but he said if you come down in the Morning then he would call at the main shop in Leigh and pick one up and would do them both for me for £70 So more than happy I agreed and went the next morning bought them and a pellet pump and bait which came to £80.79 and he said just call it £80. GREAT!! more than happy and a nice fella aswell.

Please dont take the post the wrong way Im not trying to shed a bad light on St. Helens Angling they have there targets and markup to meet but I was really disappointed they would'nt budge on the RRP price not even to say they would chuck a spool of line in or a couple of packet of hooks, anything just to sweeten the deal. So a BIG thanks to Dean at Leigh Tackle and Bait for sorting me out. Cheers Dean.
