been meaning to do this report, went to the crossens pike fishing with a mate a couple of weeks ago,it was the day ticket water just past southport.
bloody awfull didnt have a bite, used variuos deadbaits and lures but nothing all day, my mate didnt have a lookin and as far as i could see no one caught, weather was overcast and rained on and off all day and very windy and cold.
must be mad but i still enjoyed myself and would go again just to see if i was unlucky.

Re: crossens
caught a small Jack before Christmas on the Back Drain. Had the Southport ticket last year, it gets a lot of angling pressure for Pike over the winter. Bumped into Gord Burton on there who was very helpful and full of tips. Most of the pike come for the member's only section, plenty in there buts a case of locating them.
