£5 for 2 rods went there today with a mate who won a match on there last saturday with 36lb,he went on the same peg as saturday with the same bait and pole rigs, he only managed 3 bream for about 6lb, i had 1 rod out for pike the other for the carp, also done some lure fishing and some float fishing and blanked the weather went from freezing rain to sunshine every half hour, a lad who had been there for 2 nights and 2 days maneged 3 small carp so it just goes to show how fickle fishing is but its days like this that make it so good when it all comes together.

shame the fish were not playing for you, well done for braving the weather.

Good effort, unlucky. I'm not sure I would fancy 2 days on there unless I had some armed guards with me. The last time I went for a walk round there was a few of the local clowns hanging around so it put me off.

unfortunately it's a sign of the times, not been there myself for years, but have heard/read of a few places's now that are dodgy to say the least.

Is right Ray. Looking forward to some winter pike from the mere soon let me know when your up for throwing a few lures round.

the place has got a bad rep for scallies, the baliff seems a nice guy and it looks a bit better since i last visited the place.
