Match On 2nd Of Jan

Well woke up on Wednesday 2nd January at half 7. As usaul i was looking forward to my match on the canal but i was hoping for a good draw. Had me cheese on toast for my breccy and a cuppa, made my a flask and a few buttys for if am not catching. When i finished doing all that i went to the shed to get me stuff out n looked in my maggot tub and was like wheres all my maggots n then i moved a few thing in the shed and they all escaped cus i left the lid off them and i think there was a leek in the shed and it was leeking on me maggots. So not a good start to the morning. Had to go to eccy at 8:50 and shouted bobby and he got me some more maggots.

Well about 9 i got to the canal got all my stuff out of the car put it on me trolly and was walking to where everyone draw and everything fell off me trolly and i was beginning to think its not going to be my day. So went in to the draw pulled out 16 and was like that will do for me. As usaual was getting called a jammy ******** by a few of them but oo well lol. And a few more drew and i noticed sully got 37 i was like oo no not again after his outstanding weight last week.

So i went to my peg and got all my pole out and that set up was plumming my first rig to the right of me down the wall about 10 and half it was about 8 and half foot deep. So plumed up my second rig bwt 11 meters and shiping back in i got snagged on a rock snapped me and lost me plumbet. So made another rig up and guess what i did got snagged agen and lost me plumbet and i was like its not going to be my day here is it. Made another rig and was still plumbing up when they shouted all in.

Right cupped a big pot of maggots in down the side and a pot of maggots and a bit of ground bait straight out. Started off fishing up in the water for some roach and skimmers 1st put it a bit skimmer about a pound so an hour passed by and was still gettin a few bit up in the water so i though i will try down the wall becasue the bites died down a bit and put in down the wall waiting for 5 mins and looked up and saw gaz (aka roach boy) then bj (aka antnjon) come aswell and then i hooked a carp and was playing it and all i could here was bj and gaz going i have seen these come off before i saod if this does come off your both going swimming lol. Well got it in about 4lb and i fouled hooked it under its left fin

So put more bait in down the side and straight out and went up in the water and still getting a few skimmers and that. Kept going over my bottom rigs down the side and straight out but there was no sign of carp. so i said to my self stay up in the water till the last hour so i did and had bwt 7lb of roach and that from up in the water. 20 past 2 and i though sod it got nothing to lose so put 2 big pots of feed in and went over it. About 10 mins later i me float buried under and i missed it. went back over it and 5 mins later my float went again and i stuck and my laccy shot out and it was a carp got it in about 5lb. I put another pot of feed in down the wall and went back over it. about 3 o clock my float buried i stuck and my laccy came out a bit and i though it was a little but i wernt it was a roach about a pound. Went back over my feed down the wall last to mins float shot away agen hooked a carp (foul hooked i think) and it shot off and came off and i was gutted.

3-30 come all out, and i was a lil bit peeed off that i lost that last carp. i think that 4lb odd was the best weight untill they got to me and i weighted in 17lb 10oz. a few more weight in and some fella weight 19lb 01oz. a few more weight in. then they got to someone on 39 and he weight 20lb 12oz. And to top my day off at the end of the match they pulled out the golden peg and guess what it was 16 what i was on i was gutted lol. Here is 2 picks 1 of my second carp and one of my final result.
