and hello the dig pit is fairly shallow i havnt been on it in a few years but with the amount of silt that was going into it at one point id work on around six feet being the deepest your gonna get
I may be dead wrong on that though

it van be good for silver fish id use the usual maggot caster etc

You can use ledger on this water but I would not use a heavy ledger. A small feeder is best and feeding small and often.

It is mainly silver fish in the dig pit. However, it was stacked with tench and crucian carp withing the last 12 months I have been told. I am sure there will be some good size bream in here but these rarley show there heads. You are more likely to bring in fish averaging 1 to 2 pound.

I am unable to say how big the fish get in here as I have never caught a big big fish from the dig pit nor have I spoken to anyone who has had a big big fish out of there.

However, the first year the Dig Pit opened after being dug by SHAA a friend I was fishing with puled out a 4 pound roach, and amazing roach it was. I dont think these will still be around these days as the water just is not maintained correctly by the AA.

I am not aware of big carp in the Dig Pit. I have only fished for the course stuff. I have not heard of anyone else catching big fish in here as well. However, most people only ever fish for the bream and roach so this may be the reason why the big fish are never caught.

Hope you have a great day what ever happens. And please let use know what you catch.
