DIG PIT ,ST HELENS AA, CARR MILL RD

havnt fished the diggy for years !

anyone know how it fishes these days..is it still a skimmer water ?

yeah it is a skimmer water- got stocked with tench and crucian though recentley

yeah...at the back of the dam, behind the arches.

had some good skimmer bags years ago off it, think i,l give it a whirl one day next week.

the dig pitt is behind carr mill with an island in the middle

i think that pic is a pool the other side of the dam over the east lancs

yup

dig pit is fishing better than the dam but the crusion have still not shown yet,monday match on there was won with about 5/6lb but more fish was cought sunday morning to pellet

hmmm yea i agree it still is skimmers waters because ive caught an awful lot at the dig pits with pole none with rod tho so i think that pole is much easier at dig pits

i have fished dig pitt a couple of time this season but not had much but a few skimmers thats all. i have fished the damn and had some good bags of bream there .
