rainford Res

Hi everyone can anybody tell me what is the best bait to use on Rainfrd Res is as im a returning Pilks member not fished Rainford Res hor at least 7 years i know there is a good head of tench in there well there was about 9 years ago plus which pegs fish well any info would be great

dont know that much about rainford mate but i know loads about tench! get yourself some mussels cut em in half fish the bit with the cartlidge disk on the hook! an big hook 8,s or 10,s feed the other half of the mussel in your swim weather whole or finely chopped and cupped in! fish it hard on the bottom and you will bag up! i have used mussels for 12 years and the fish i have had on em have been awesome huge tench bream carp roach perch chub barbel! let us know how you get on! and the more orange coloured the mussel the more bites. these were my secret bait for years
