groundbait for carrmill

has anyone tryed fishmeal based groundbait in the feeder for bream?

try this one, brown crumb, hemp, corn, casters and my secret ingredient, john west lumpfish caviar £1.99 a jar in morrisons and gives of a great fishy smell and taste.

fishmeal based groundbaits have been used on the dam for years, to be honest I dont think it makes that much of a difference. Your either on fish or your not at carr mill

Fish meal works well in the summer but you wont get any roach feeding when the skimmers are off.

The old fashioned method used to be brown crumb & molasses

Brown crumb with super cup 50/50 red maggot or small worm on hook, Had some good times with this and i think John has used this as well, It has won me 2 Festivals in Ireland so it has something going for it, Just be patient and they will turn up,

One of the best all-round groundbaits around is supercup(brown), i used it on lennons lengths mixed with magic black and I beleive it was the reason I won so many matches on there.

on carr mill a near miss on the fish is as good as being at teh wrong end

one of the easiest carp waters around if you do a bit of legwork and find the fish before you set up

yes night fishing is available as per the rules laid out for the night card, but not always needed

were do i pick a night permit up do u have 2 ave normalll permit 2 get 1 or can u just buy a night permit

I think u have to be a member of st helens aa before u get 1 as they own the water.

them i have fished carrmill alot 1980 i went on the bus from wigan and the driver said u haveet got maggots have you no joke that too
