totaly different ball game ade Crying or Very sad although i have never fished it my lad has, it holds no carp so target is roach skimmers and ide at distance plus the perch and tench that live under over hanging bushes, if you get a peg with a bush then its worth a go and you will pick up a lot of perch there too! rainford is very deep and i mean deep so make some big silver rigs around top 4 at 0.75 -1.5 gram depending on what you prefer , fish at about 13-14 metres and if ther having it you will catch up in the water which can be fun with the ide going 2lb+ , so skimmers will probably be your best target on the deck 13-14 metres with maggot&pinkie. maggot or chopped worm under the bush. keep it simple fish fine lines maggot / pinkie and groundbait cupped in every half hour or so in your skimmer swim. good luck and let us know how you get on Smile

I was just going to ask the same question. How about the feeder or waggler.

Any idea what sort of weight will be needed to frame?

Well it fished very hard, the match was won with 6lbs from a peg where the lake narrows. I drew peg 14 and struggled I never had a bite on the deep rig at 11mtrs but caught caught 2.5lbs of small roach on a shallow rig at mid depth. Nice lake just the depth is alittle faunting.

I HAVE HAD A FEW GOOD DAYS UNDER THE BUSH ON YOUR LEFT AT PEG 14 AND DISREGARDED ANY LONG POLE. NICE THAT IT IS NOT A CARP POOL AND PLEASANT SURROUNDINGS.
