Dates have now been announced for lugsmore 2011 permit, please make sure you get yourself down to the available dates as i have it on good authority no permits will be available after! also Day tickets are no longer available on luggy and it as reverted back to a members fishing only water.

SAT 30TH APRIL 1300-1500
WED 4TH MAY 18.30-20.00
SAT 7TH MAY 13.00-15.00
SAT 14TH MAY 13.00-15.00
WED 18TH MAY 18.30-15.00
SAT 21ST MAY 13.00-15.00
WED 8TH JUNE 18.30-15.00
SAT 11TH JUNE 13.00-15.00

PERMITS ISSUED AT THE CABIN ON SITE ON THE ABOVE DATES ONLY!
2 PASSPORT PHOTOS REQUIRED AND PRICES ARE £12 ADULT £6 JUNIORS PLUS A £5 JOINING FEE FOR NEW MEMBERS

Hi Marcus , What's Lugsmore like? Is it worth forking out for another permit? Also we were talking about eccy mere and you advised me to fish to the left of the boat house. I took I walk round there last week and it seems a bit tight for casting a feeder out. Is it better between the boathouse and the pier with the "big tap"on or from the "big tap" to the corner where it starts to bend . I intend to pre bait the night before with loads of 4mm pellets, and corn at around 40 yrds out . Then the following morning with hair-rigged 6mm halibet pellet or double corn. well carl where you intend to fish is where i actualy meant Wink

and it sounds like a great idea prebaiting as long as the carp lads dont see you and when you return the next day they have nicked your swim! it will be worth it if them big bream and carp move in Smile

We too missed out, its dissapointing as we live nearby and could walk to it.
Should we not encourage kids to fish by allowing them to join at any time?
Ok adults should be able to sort them selves out, but I feel no oppertunity should be missed when it comes to new members, or is it just me who wrong as I am new to fishing?

well winchman i agree with you entirely regards to permits on luggy and yes we cannot afford to miss an oppurtunity to promote angling on the whole, to many kids hanging around the streets when they could be bagging up and having fun! although the there is a hassle for committees when it comes to issuing permits and with luggy its just one fella who does it all at no benefit to himself. as for missing the permit issue i will see what i can do for ya's Wink

we at FISH ST HELENS do our best to keep the angling community of st helens informed of any relevant information on local clubs etc and these dates are taken off the notice board on site so if by some chance you turn up to buy a permit and there is nobody there to issue them please do not blame us, i myself whent to buy my permit today to find these revised dates pinned up! i cant speak with any authority on the number of members luggy has but i am guessing there will be a lot less this year than last year and just to prove the original dated posted were correct

hi marcus, i have missed the renewal dates due to being in hospital being treated for diabetes and heart disease, is there any chance that i can get a permit for this year, i already have a card number 30 and my name is john allison, i hope that i can get a permit for this year as luggy lane is the only water i can fish due to it being next to the road and being obstacle free on the banks.

Anyone have a contact number for anyone of authority from Lugsmore?

Washed my permit so dont have it anymore, but still have my id card from inside which shows im a member and have paid this year.
