Partridge lakes?
Hey,
I'm planning on paying partridge lakes a visit on the 15th (my birthday ) to try out my new pole.. I was wondering if anyone has been recently or has any information on which lakes are fishing good? I'd prefer a lake fishing well for carp on the pole/method feeder but can't object to a good days fishing, wether it being carp I'm catching or not. I'm planning on fishing banded/soft hook pellets and even considering giving paste a try, despite the waters being quite cold now, I'll also be taking corn and some maggots too.
Thanks for reading.
Adam.

Re: Partridge lakes?
dont know if ya planning on fishing the opens on the coveys lads? paste will still catch top 2 straight out on the slope and down the side! only small peices tho has they are smallfish, you may get em going up in the water as its not to cold yet and castor works well with the noise atracting fish into your swim, i would opt for paste and pellet tho nice and easy fishing lol matches are £12 quid for section or £20 all in.

Don't know if I'm up for fishing in the match.. I've never actually fished a match and a match with random people would be a bit too advanced for me, I think. I'll consider it though..

Re: Partridge lakes?
I'm thinking of giving the match a shot, Marcus.. Just hoping I'm not the youngest fishing it ;p. So paste and pellets down the side are the best then on the coveys?

Re: Partridge lakes?
well thats pretty much the deal and straight in front on the slope, you can put a swim in the track 2 if you like feed micros and fish pellet! some fish across into the gaps on the far bank its uo to you mate! 2 nets and the weight in each as to be similair at weigh in give or take a few pounds , so just 1 in this net and 1 in that net through the match and youl be fine!

Re: Partridge lakes?
Oh, and one more question... What paste do you personally think would be better? Sonu baits 1 to 1 natural or green? I know there's a 6paint bait limit so sorting everything out now, seeing as I'll be busy in college throughout the week.

Yeah, I plan on getting everything together now and preparing everything the night before, seeing as I'm currently over loaded with assignments.. I'm just unsure of what times I've got to be there for and stuff..

Re: Partridge lakes?
Sorry to post on this again but seeing as I got a new pole and didn't have much money to elasticate all of the top 2s and 3s I only elasticated 2.. One with black hydro elastic and one with 6-8 hollow.. Would the 6-8 be ok for the match or would the black hydro set soft be better?

Re: Partridge lakes?
they will both be ok adam! the black hydro may be a little heavy but you should be fine mate

Re: Partridge lakes?
I'll just set the black hydro soft and see how it goes, if I bump any fish I'll just swap to the 6-8 hollow.. Thanks again for answering Marcus.
