Re: TAYLOR PARK.
a lot of the lads do well with cranberry and caviar flavour boilies but you will catch on any mate, the problem with taylor is the weed that covers almost all the bottom but this time of year is probably best with the fish just waking up and the weed will be minimal.
pva bag with hali's or whatever and a good sized bait there is some 20+ carp in taylor but its hard to get through the bream sometimes which are proper dustbin lids and some good tench which show up now and again.

Re: TAYLOR PARK.
just find a clear patch on the deck becuse its full of weed! once you do that you should have some joy and sadly around 60 bream have died due to blue algea bloom which sucks all oxygen out of the water and most of the fish were 10lb+

Re: TAYLOR PARK.
That really is bad news.
It's a few years since I fished there but I had some good bream out.
Do you reckon there are any left alive?

Re: TAYLOR PARK.
Were the fish deaths recent? The fishing sounds good on Taylor. I have never fished this water and have always thought it was a St.Helens AA water.
Do you get bothered by local idiots around Taylor?

Re: TAYLOR PARK.
I thought the same swift, do you need a key to access it or am I thinking of a different water? Plus, what would be the best way to to fish taylor?

Re: TAYLOR PARK.
taylor is a free water! the park was given to the people of st helens by lord derby i think that was is name! anyway it was on the condition that it has to be free to use, st helens aa put it on there card but if you look closely it says on application to the boat house! they dont have the fishing rights and i am sure never will.
as for the fishing there was that huge loss of bream but still a few in and loads of carp and some good tench in there , good roach perch and jacky's problem with taylor is presentation the bottom is heaving with weed and when you bring ya gear in its full of crap! if you can find a clear spot you will catch em! usual pva bags trouts or hallies n a white chocolate boilie or a mulberry should do the trick!
TIGHT LINES!
