ullswater
are there many pike in ullswater? iv been twice after the trout and had a pike rod out with no success

I know ov pike been caught up to 14lb but hard to locate try at end ov lake glenridding farm side there is some big perch in there, good sport

its because they are almost rarer than hens teeth

which hotel?
on a serious note though ullswater has high levels of lead (check the geology and the industry in the area) which has lead to the dearth of pike
im not saying there are none in there but how many blanks do you want...
and lets not forget the ever so slightly different approach you need to fish water like the big glacials what you may get away with on the paddock any of the dams...
may well not be up too fishing a boulder strewn lake

I've fished it a few times and never had pike. I've only had perch and small brownies fishind maggot feeder and spinning. I'm going on thursday so I will let you know if any unlikely pike show.
