matalan stretch

can anyone give me any info on this stretch thinking of having ago saturday as the banks are nice and comfy and the parking at matalan is handy too. Hav'nt fished the canal for absolutly years and have never fished this stretch before,any info on methods and baits would be welcome

canals fishing quite hard tbh... maggot pinkie n corn as bait i wud say this time of year dont feed to much

i would sat get close to the hole running under the road with corn or tiny bits of meat and i bet you get a good few carp

fished this stretch a lot last summer with some good results used worm,luncheon,cheese and maggot but have never fished in winter

Had a decent evening on wed ere had a few skimmers bloody big roach about 1 n half lb and a perch about the same, Then to finish the night off i had a couple of sweetcorn on ledger and pulled out a nice 6lb common shame its mouth was all deformed haif the carp ive had outta here are like that tho

fished this morning from 6am an blanked, fished the bottom wiv fishmeal an carb pellets, no movement in water at all, very still an no fish activity. think the sun out so bright an warm didnt help. i'll have them next time
