ST HELENS CANAL MATCH RESULTS 11 FEB 09

24 hardy anglers turned out today to brave the cold wet weather, And to no surprise it fished hard for most, the match started off slow with only a few silvers being caught, at around 1 o’clock Alan Lever on peg 23 had a small carp around the pound mark followed by another around 3lb, and while most was struggling to keep the silvers feeding Alan had Netted another carp which was a lump around 11lb, plus a 7lber and then another and another in quick succession! in total he had 6/7 carp all on single red maggot plus a nice hybrid of a pound plus , Bernie Breese on peg 22 finished off with a good bag of silvers , Jeff Holland on peg 29, and Charlie Horn on peg 15 also managed a few nice silvers.
