UNION BANK

I have important news about union bank pond next to the M62. Apparently the stretch of land its on is being sold and the pond will be getting filled in around november unless a keen fisherman buys the land. Also there is now no charge to fish the water but this is just a friend of a mine saying this about the charge i will find out for certain with in the next wk. It will be sad if it is filled in because thats where ive had my biggest carp a 24lb leather carp

I worked in a blokes house on union bank lane end of last year and he said he owned it, he gave me a day ticket worth a fiver?

Ive found out that they're not giving day tickets out anymore the fella who runs it told me today. However some people may still be able to become a full member but we dont know whats gonna happen wiv the water in november. Hi korkykat thats the fella i talk to hes a friend of mine.

I read a public notice in the St.Helens star about Union bank last week. A planning application has been submitted for 6 high powered flood lights to be installed there on masts. Is this anything to do with the land being sold off?

Had another brilliant evening their last night. Caught between 30 n 40 fish in the 3hrs i was there all roach and perch but some nice sizes. The cream on the cake was my 1st golden tench absolutly lovely fish to look at and was a handful when it wrapped itself round some tree roots got it out in the end tho . I think the fllod lights are to do with the dream being lit up at night, not sure whether it is on union bank itself tho.

going back ere tomorrow evening with my dad he aint fished in 15 yrs but im sure my old man will av a few tricks up his sleeve. I will let u all know how we get on.

Had a good 2hrs ere last nite. 12lb common and a 8lb mirror on floating bread right nxt to the lillies

i dont know mate as never fished it ....it is just a puddle tho

im still fishing their and nothing has been said about the land being sold yet. Hope it just blows over wiv all the news bout the place being sold. Fingers crossed !

Still a fiver for a day ticket. Even tho it is only small there are some big fish. 28lb mirror is the largest. My biggest is a 24lb leather carp and there are plenty in 10 to 20lb range as well as some nice Tench and Roach etc. Last week had a nice evening session wiv the odd small carp,Tench and a couple of crucian.

Im suprised thers fish that big in there, u can nearly jump it, where do u get tickets frm mate
