ST HELENS AA CANAL MATCH RESULTS 30,1,08

A good turnout again today with seventeen anglers at the ready, the weather wasn’t too bad at all with bright sunshine for the majority of the day, but with a strong bitter wind present it was really quite cold even with the sunshine, but cant grumble to much because at least it didn’t rain.

First hour in and Ste Ward on peg 39 was lucky enough to bag a carp in the first ten minutes at around the 8lb mark, Mark Tyrer on peg 35 had a few silvers as did Dave Allsop on peg 37, Ste Hammy was doing well with silverfish and Mike Elder on peg 34, Iain Sullivan on peg 20, Charlie Horn on peg 18, Karl Owen on peg 16, Alan Lever on peg 7 and Lloyde Bamber on peg 6 were all doing well with good sized silverfish.

Next hour or so and Mike Elder had 2 carp around 3lb each , Ste Ward had another two carp one around 8lb and one around 4lb, Lloyd had 2 small carp, Karl Owen had two small carp and so did Charlie Horn, Whilst most of the other anglers were getting some action of silverfish.

Last hour or so and Iain Sullivan had a nice lump, Charlie Horn Had three carp Bob Howard on peg 12 had a carp around 4lb , Ste Ward bagged a couple more big carp plus plenty of silvers, Young Ste Hammy was still doing well with silvers as was Lloyde Bamber on Matalan.

All in all a good days fishing for most with some good weights and plenty of silverfish showing.
