ST HELENS AA CANAL MATCH RESULTS 6,2,08

Not a bad day at all weather wise for the 16 anglers who turned out, sunny all day and with the occasional gusts of strong wind thrown in for good measure! but all in all the conditions were quite reasonable, the water was gin clear and the level was down a bit and there was a nice ripple on the surface ,

First hour or so and Mike Elder on peg 39 had a nice carp around 10lb, Dave Allsop on peg 37 had a small common around 3lb plus a few bits, Iain Sullivan on peg 32 was catching some quality roach, Alan lever was doing well with silverfish on peg 36 and Ste Hammy on peg 12,Ste Ward on peg 7 were doing likewise

Next hour or so and Ste Rimmer on peg 24 had a few silvers, Mark Tyrer on peg 4 was getting a few silvers , Ste Hammy, Ste ward, Alan lever were still getting silverfish action and George Wilton was Getting a steady stream of roach, while Dave Allsop, Iain Sullivan and Mike elder were getting a better stamp of silverfish

Last couple of hours and Alan lever was still managing to keep the silverfish interested and was catching well, Charlie Horn on peg 10 had a carp about 3lb, Ste Rimmer had a nice lump around 7lb ish , Mike Elder had a carp about 4lb plus a steady influx of silvers, Ste Ward and Dave Morris had a small carp each, Ste Rimmer bagged another descent carp , Iain Sullivan had one around 5lb and was doing very well with silvers, and right at the end Mark Tyrer landed a nice common around 9lb .
